At Pawris Grooming, de-shedding is an add-on you choose when you book a bath or groom, so it is done during the same visit.
What de-shedding is
Dogs with thick or double coats keep a layer of soft undercoat that sheds in clumps, especially during seasonal changes. De-shedding focuses on loosening and removing that undercoat during the bath and brush-out.
It reduces shedding, but it doesn't stop it. Every dog still sheds some, and results depend on the coat.
Which dogs benefit most
Double-coated and heavy-shedding breeds tend to benefit most, but any dog that leaves a lot of hair around the house may be a good candidate. Tell us about your dog's coat and how much they shed when you book.
Pair it with another service
Add de-shedding when you book a Dog Bath & Tidy or Dog Full Groom. Matted coats may also need dematting, which is priced per 15 minutes and only done when it's safe and comfortable for your dog.

How much is de-shedding?
De-shedding is $25 for small and medium dogs and $45 for large and extra-large dogs, added to your bath or groom.
Will de-shedding stop my dog from shedding?
No. It removes loose undercoat so there is less hair to shed afterward, but dogs keep shedding naturally.
How often should I book it?
Many owners add it during heavy shedding seasons or whenever shedding is hard to manage. Your groomer can suggest a schedule based on your dog's coat.
